DESCRIPTION:If you think you can’t\, you can! \nStand-up paddle boarding is one of the most accessible ways to learn to paddle on the water\, and if you let it\, it will change your life. \nIn this session you will learn skills you never thought you could achieve and build confidence in the water with a supportive and reassuring instructor who will focus on your needs. You will learn how calming the mind and body can improve balance and connection\, and how the natural flow of the water can work with you to improve your paddling. \nLeeanne works within a front line Mental Health service\, and has a passion for supporting individuals to find their own inner strength and build on their resilience. She enables individuals to learn self-management skills and techniques to support their wellness and what better environment to do this than the great outdoors and our beautiful blue spaces. \nYou will be put completely at ease\, there is no pressure to take part in any activities\, the sessions are run at individuals own pace and to their own needs and preferences. Person centred support is very important to Leeanne. \nSessions focus on paddling techniques\, safety\, using the breath to calm the mind\, and connecting with self\, others and nature. All of this creating a positive experience leaving you yearning for more. \nAll equipment is provided for these sessions however you have the option to use your own. \nSessions will last 4 hours and you will be made aware of start/end times\, this is in line with tides/conditions\, and locations will vary. \n

The mandala’s balanced form promotes feelings of order and inner peace\,\nmirroring a sense of inner and family balance. It is therefore only available to support family wellbeing and\, if you are self-referring\, you will be required to meet the criteria for the support. \nThe event is open to young people aged 5 to 24 years and their parents\, older siblings or other older family members. \nThose aged 5 to 17 years must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. \nFund Criteria \nYoung people who are carers\, are experiencing homelessness\, family trauma or have been referred by Highland Council Social Work\, NHS Harm Reduction and Highland Council Criminal Justice. \nTo be referred to this event speak with your local community link worker. DESCRIPTION:If you think you can’t\, you can! \nStand-up paddle boarding is one of the most accessible ways to learn to paddle on the water\, and if you let it\, it will change your life. \nIn this session you will learn skills you never thought you could achieve and build confidence in the water with a supportive and reassuring instructor who will focus on your needs. You will learn how calming the mind and body can improve balance and connection\, and how the natural flow of the water can work with you to improve your paddling. \nLeeanne works within a front line Mental Health service\, and has a passion for supporting individuals to find their own inner strength and build on their resilience. She enables individuals to learn self-management skills and techniques to support their wellness and what better environment to do this than the great outdoors and our beautiful blue spaces. \nYou will be put completely at ease\, there is no pressure to take part in any activities\, the sessions are run at individuals own pace and to their own needs and preferences. Person centred support is very important to Leeanne. \nSessions focus on paddling techniques\, safety\, using the breath to calm the mind\, and connecting with self\, others and nature. All of this creating a positive experience leaving you yearning for more. \nAll equipment is provided for these sessions however you have the option to use your own. \nSessions will last 4 hours and you will be made aware of start/end times\, this is in line with tides/conditions\, and locations will vary.

DESCRIPTION:Creative Art sessions draw on the natural environment as an inspiration and a tool\nfor art making\, the sessions encourage us to slow down and notice what is around\nus.\n• Sessions are not about artistic merit but about encouraging a connection with our\ncreativity to support our wellbeing\, we believe everyone has creative abilities.\n• Using natural materials and the natural landscape can help us reconnect with\nmemories and stories of our life\, increasing opportunities for self-expression.\n• In our sessions self-reflection is key and this will be built into all parts of the\nsession\, helping to gain greater understanding of our own needs &amp; strengthen our\nconfidence.\n• The opportunity to work cohesively as a group can help us to look at new\nperspectives\, share ideas\, draw on the differences between us and build a sense of\nconnection between one another.\n• In these sessions the process (journey) is as important as the artmaking we\nproduce.\n• We use creative journals as a way of capturing our experiences\, these can include\nartwork\, photographs\, writing or poetry – full instruction will be provided.\n• We work with a person-centred approach offering\, kindness\, encouragement\, and\nrespect to all. Our sessions operate as a non-judgemental space\, where\nconfidentiality is paramount.\n• It is also important to remember that for some\, the natural environment can bring\nback painful memories and not feel a safe place\, being mindful about this is vital in\nsupporting those who may feel this way and in helping them to move forward.\n• Sessions take a holistic approach to the person\, with focus around both physical\nand emotional wellbeing\, celebrating each individual’s needs.

No surprises is the watch word! If you think you can’t\, think again. Kayaking opens up a whole world of exploration and insight into your personal resilience. When skills are combined with focus and mindful practice\, the benefits this will bring to your life are simply without comparison. \nYou can join a small group (4 maximum) for a morning of learning and adventure. The coach provides everything you need to get on the water and combines the learning with discussion on well-being and techniques for improving skills\, staying relaxed\, developing breathing control and water-confidence. These achievement translate directly into life’s many challenges and can significantly reduce the risk of stress.

DESCRIPTION:If you think you can’t\, you can! \nStand-up paddle boarding is one of the most accessible ways to learn to paddle on the water\, and if you let it\, it will change your life. \nIn this session you will learn skills you never thought you could achieve and build confidence in the water with a supportive and reassuring instructor who will focus on your needs. You will learn how calming the mind and body can improve balance and connection\, and how the natural flow of the water can work with you to improve your paddling. \nLeeanne works within a front line Mental Health service\, and has a passion for supporting individuals to find their own inner strength and build on their resilience. She enables individuals to learn self-management skills and techniques to support their wellness and what better environment to do this than the great outdoors and our beautiful blue spaces. \nYou will be put completely at ease\, there is no pressure to take part in any activities\, the sessions are run at individuals own pace and to their own needs and preferences. Person centred support is very important to Leeanne. \nSessions focus on paddling techniques\, safety\, using the breath to calm the mind\, and connecting with self\, others and nature. All of this creating a positive experience leaving you yearning for more. \nAll equipment is provided for these sessions however you have the option to use your own. \nSessions will last 4 hours and you will be made aware of start/end times\, this is in line with tides/conditions\, and locations will vary.

DESCRIPTION:Creative Art sessions draw on the natural environment as an inspiration and a tool\nfor art making\, the sessions encourage us to slow down and notice what is around\nus.\n• Sessions are not about artistic merit but about encouraging a connection with our\ncreativity to support our wellbeing\, we believe everyone has creative abilities.\n• Using natural materials and the natural landscape can help us reconnect with\nmemories and stories of our life\, increasing opportunities for self-expression.\n• In our sessions self-reflection is key and this will be built into all parts of the\nsession\, helping to gain greater understanding of our own needs &amp; strengthen our\nconfidence.\n• The opportunity to work cohesively as a group can help us to look at new\nperspectives\, share ideas\, draw on the differences between us and build a sense of\nconnection between one another.\n• In these sessions the process (journey) is as important as the artmaking we\nproduce.\n• We use creative journals as a way of capturing our experiences\, these can include\nartwork\, photographs\, writing or poetry – full instruction will be provided.\n• We work with a person-centred approach offering\, kindness\, encouragement\, and\nrespect to all. Our sessions operate as a non-judgemental space\, where\nconfidentiality is paramount.\n• It is also important to remember that for some\, the natural environment can bring\nback painful memories and not feel a safe place\, being mindful about this is vital in\nsupporting those who may feel this way and in helping them to move forward.\n• Sessions take a holistic approach to the person\, with focus around both physical\nand emotional wellbeing\, celebrating each individual’s needs.
